• Do you think it's OK for parents to bring kids to work?

  No. Most work environments are not kid-friendly and kids should definitely not be allowed to participate in the work when the safety of others is involved.

  • There was a case in India where a surgeon allowed his 14 year old son to do some of the operation. His defense was that he was completely supervised and "had done it many times before." JFK is one of the busiest airspaces in the country.
  • This is especially true in workplaces where concentration is needed. Just the presence of a child can be distracting.

• Spending habits: What amount do you discuss with your spouse?

  I check with my spouse before spending anything over $150.

• Is it OK to discipline someone else's child?

  Maybe. It depends on how close the child's parent is. But if they're not nearby and safety is involved, you should definitely speak up.

  • I wouldn't discipline someone's child but I'd take a steak knife away from them! If a child won't follow my rules, he/she gets to go home!

• Gifting gone wild: Can kids get too much at the holidays?

  Yes. The pile of presents gets crazy and overwhelming and the kids really can't appreciate it all.

  • Gifts to nieces go completely unacknowledged. They are overwhelmed. They don't even know who sent what.

• Are you relieved that the holidays are almost over?

  Yes. Looking forward to getting some time back.

• Is it OK for a mother to casually smoke pot?

  It depends. Only if done legally for legitimate medicinal purposes

  • It should be legalized. Then, I would answer that it is harmless. The gateway drug is cigarettes- not pot.

• Should 6-year-old be suspended for bringing utensil to school?

  No, this is ridiculous.
